Statement from our engineers regarding tariffs imposed on Canada

The news that President Trump has imposed 25% tariffs on Canada has been a real gut punch for all of us. It feels like a deep betrayal from a once close friend and ally, and Canada does not deserve this treatment. The fact is that when oil & gas are removed from the trade balance equation, Canada actually has a huge trading deficit with the U.S.; and the U.S. badly needs our raw materials to grow its economy (which we provide at a deep discount!). It is very unfortunate that the American administration is following this lose-lose economic policy.

We need to be self-sufficient and bring in our own manufacturing capability, using our own resources and our own amazing talent. To that end, CCP Engineering is offering a free 2-hr consultation for any global manufacturer who is interested in bringing manufacturing to Ontario. We would like to help companies understand the process of compliance with provincial and federal laws; and review their machines and processes to look for ‘show-stoppers’ before coming to Ontario.
